Hexagonal Weave Round Basket with Lid - BlackThis hexagonal weave round basket with lid in black boasts the unique, subtle luster and gentle texture of bamboo.
The finely woven hexagonal pattern, crafted from delicate bamboo strips, combines beauty with practicality.
Bamboo is excellent for its breathability, antibacterial properties, and durability, making it convenient for storing small sweets and various daily necessities.
The warmth and charm of handmade craftsmanship bring a sense of calm to any space as part of your interior.
Touching the bamboo's texture, a mix of glossy smoothness and natural roughness, feels like holding nature itself in your hands.
It's an exquisite piece that allows you to subtly feel the breath of the material in your daily life.
Nanpu KōgeiNanpu Kōgei is a comprehensive bamboo trading company founded in 1979 in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture.
In Beppu, known as a major production area for bamboo crafts, they have consistently handled everything from material procurement to manufacturing and sales in-house.
Their system, which includes mountain management and supplying materials to artisans, is a rare initiative not often seen in other production areas.
Realizing that this integrated system builds trust in their high-quality products and leads to a sense of security, I decided to welcome Nanpu Kōgei's products into my home.
Furthermore, Nanpu Kōgei's products are not merely bamboo crafts; they also embody "creative bamboo art."
The way contemporary design and traditional techniques are masterfully fused by artisans, while focusing on sustainable use of bamboo, is particularly impressive as a reason to cherish them for a long time.
Currently, while inheriting the craftsmanship and aesthetic sense rooted in the region, they have relocated their base to Hiji Town, Oita Prefecture, surrounded by rich nature and abundant marine resources, where they manufacture products using high-quality bamboo.
Flexible, Strong, and BeautifulBamboo is known as a sustainable eco-material with astonishingly fast growth.
While lightweight and easy to maintain, each piece has its own individuality and elasticity, so processing requires high skill and patience.
Carefully crafted bamboo products are durable and long-lasting, and the beauty that deepens into an amber color with use is one of the joys of owning them.
Flexible and strong, and increasing in character over time, bamboo combines practicality and design, going beyond being just a "tool" to become an experience that soothes the mind.
