Daikokuya is an Edo-style chopstick maker founded in Higashi-Mukojima, Tokyo in 1985.
"Chopsticks are a bridge to life" is a famous saying by representative Katsuhiko Takeda. "Chopsticks are an important tool we use every day, so I hope you choose a pair that fits your hand." With this sentiment, they dedicate themselves to their craft daily. Chopsticks are held in the hand and go directly into the mouth, so you'll want to be particular about their thickness, shape, length, and material.

I wrote a diary entry about my first visit to Daikokuya.
