Sansa Bowl by Kimura Glass StoreThis exquisite glass bowl is crafted by Kimura Glass Store. When one hears the name Kimura Glass Store, the first image that comes to mind is their crystal-clear, transparent glassware. Its simple, unadorned beauty has been deeply loved by many for generations. Finished to a remarkable thinness, the glass feels surprisingly light in the hand, and this delicate touch is another enchanting element of its charm.
"I want to challenge ourselves with colored glass someday."
Having held this quiet desire for many years, Kimura Glass Store happened to hear that Fukagawa Glass Craft in Otaru, Hokkaido, was creating products using a unique blue-gray recycled glass.
Derived from recycled automobile smoked glass, this specific material possesses a calm, deeply quiet bluish-gray tint, interspersed with fine, delicate air bubbles inherent to its recycled nature. Captivated by this striking poetic expression, Kimura Glass Store immediately reached out to collaborate, wishing to breathe life into new shapes using this beautiful medium. Thus, the Sansa Bowl was born.
Three Sizes variant to Nest Like a Ritual on Your TableThe Sansa Bowl comes in three distinct sizes.
The smallest size, 391s, is perfectly proportioned for serving yogurt or ice cream. Nestling effortlessly into the palm of your hand, it brings a sense of joyful lightness every time you lift it. Even the simple yogurt you enjoy every day feels somehow extraordinary when cradled within this vessel.
The medium 473USs is a stunning choice for holding fresh fruits. The juicy, glistening radiance of the fruit pairs beautifully with the shimmering air bubbles suspended inside the Sansa Bowl, adding a subtle, elegant touch of festivity to your dining table.
And the largest 568UKs is an ideal size for serving crisp salads. Even on a hectic morning, a quickly tossed dish instantly becomes the centerpiece of the table, as the unique transparency of the glass beautifully elevates the vibrant, natural colors of the vegetables.
These three sizes nest flawlessly inside one another like a gentle puzzle, conserving storage space with elegant ease. Their stacked silhouette is a visual delight, bringing a small sense of comfort even in the quiet moment of putting them away. Each size is so effortlessly functional that you will naturally find yourself wishing to collect all three.
Gently Bringing a Serene Focus to the TableOn mornings when the early sunlight streams through the living room windows, washing them in a sparkling glow—that is exactly when the Sansa Bowl shines best.
Simply arranging your salad or yogurt inside allows ordinary ingredients to mysteriously wrap themselves in a crisp, clear atmosphere, instantly refining the presence of the entire table. The blue-gray glass, beautifully capturing the floating air bubbles, quietly elevates whatever dish it holds.
Filtering the morning light, the blue-gray hues shift beautifully—at times soft and airy, at times deep and meditative. This fluid play of color softly imparts a transient, delicate beauty to your everyday routine.
