一年の終わりに、感謝を込めて

With gratitude at the year's end,

アメノイエオープンデイIn the blink of an eye, 2025 is drawing to a close.
How did you all spend your year?

For me, this year was a year of many discoveries through "encounters with people."

Until now, I have been sharing things I encountered in my daily life, work, and travels through text and photos online.
I want to convey the story behind the objects and the feelings of the creators.
With that in mind, I have approached each piece.

However, there are some things that cannot be fully conveyed through text and photos alone.
For example, the feel of a ceramic piece or how its expression changes with the light.
How one perceives these things is unique to each individual, and there is no single right answer.
That's why I want people to actually pick them up and enjoy them freely, using their own senses.

These feelings gradually grew stronger, and this autumn, I decided to start Open Days, where I open the Kagurazaka house only twice a month.

I still clearly remember the day I held the first Open Day in September.
The tension of feeling a little unsettled right before opening the door.
However, the moment I met everyone who came, those feelings naturally dissipated.

We talked about how to arrange ceramic pieces, and together we chose their expressions and combinations.
Sometimes, I even learned about wonderful shops in Kagurazaka.
Because it was in-person, conversations naturally broadened, and things I hadn't seen online began to emerge one after another through our interactions.

In November, we welcomed Asao Ando of the fragrance brand Lunef and held a workshop to create personalized scents.
It was a time to quietly face each scent, and to engage in a dialogue with myself about my preferences and senses.
It was a very memorable time, including the calm atmosphere that filled the space.

And in December, I participated in my first POP UP.
It was a time to step out of Kagurazaka and meet people who didn't yet know Amenoiye.
Being in a different place than usual gave me a sense of renewed focus.

The venue was filled with shops of various genres, creating a lively and warm atmosphere.
Many people stopped by and discovered Amenoiye in such a place.
And people I had met at the Open Day also stopped by.
Each moment was joyful and memorable.

Looking back, it was a year where my perspective gradually widened with each new encounter.
Next year, I hope to continue opening Amenoiye while cherishing opportunities to meet people in person.

To everyone who has been involved with Amenoiye this past year.
With heartfelt gratitude.
Please have a wonderful New Year.
