Open Day Notice

Between the lingering heat of summer and the quiet onset of autumn

As the summer heat gradually recedes, the mornings and evenings have become cool and pleasant.

Until now, we have offered vessels and tools encountered during our travels through our online shop. We are so grateful that customers from as far north as Hokkaido to as far south as Kyushu, and even from overseas, have chosen Amenoiye. We sincerely appreciate your support.

Japan, with its thriving craftsmanship, has cultures deeply rooted in each region. Every time I experience their profoundness, I feel a quiet sense of awe.

The many stories dwelling within objects

"Amenoiye" is my home in Kagurazaka, where I spend my days.
Working for a magazine company, I have had the opportunity to connect with artisans from various regions through my work and travels.

The captivating items I encountered there have found a place in every corner of my home—the kitchen, living room, bathroom—and I am now introducing them to you.

What I wish to convey through this space is not merely "objects."
It is the many stories that lie beneath them.
When you reflect on the makers' thoughts, and the history and culture of the land, your everyday life might appear slightly different.

I believe that the time spent engaging with these stories will become invaluable memories that linger in your heart at unexpected moments.

Opening the Kagurazaka house twice a month

While Amenoiye has been exclusively online until now, starting this autumn, I hope to invite you to visit our physical location twice a month.

There are delicate textures of pottery, the weight of furniture, and the flow of light and wind in a room that cannot be fully conveyed online.

I would be delighted if you could experience a quiet and special time, engaging all your senses to truly appreciate the stories held within each item.
