Until now, I have been delivering my "favorites" found during my travels through my online shop and Instagram.
However, I still want you to experience them firsthand and feel them in a physical space.
With that in mind, I have prepared special days, a few days a month, to welcome everyone to Amenoié.
I hope this time allows you to slowly appreciate the texture of the vessels and tools, along with the way the light enters and the air flows.
It's been a typical rainy season recently, with continuous gentle rain.
The plants in the garden seem to have soaked up plenty of rainwater and have grown noticeably larger.
It's almost been two years since I started experiencing the seasons here in Kagurazaka.
The people I've met through Amenoié, the warm artisans, and the tools that color my daily life.
I have been able to come this far, supported by many precious connections.
In the hope of delivering my gratitude,
we will be holding various events in July.
7/11 (Sat) - 7/12 (Sun)
Hand-knitted Basket Exhibition
To celebrate our 2nd anniversary weekend, we will be holding a basket exhibition on our open days.
For this occasion, I have collected many of my favorite hand-knitted baskets, which are indispensable in my daily life.
From akebi and bamboo baskets to vintage baskets that have aged beautifully, a variety of baskets with different expressions will be on display.
Also, on this day, original handkerchiefs will be unveiled.
It's been two full years since I moved into this house.
I have met many artisans and tools.
These handkerchiefs depict my favorite items encountered here, drawn onto a single piece of cloth.
(I will tell you the detailed story behind these handkerchiefs at a later, more leisurely time.)
It's the first weekend of summer.
I look forward to welcoming everyone.
7/17 (Fri) - 7/19 (Sun)
Sota Ohara × LAN Two-Person Exhibition
The following weekend, a joint exhibition by ceramic artist Sota Ohara and glass artist LAN will begin.
Ohara's earthy vessels possess a profound expression within their quiet, plain surfaces, reminiscent of stone.
LAN's glass creations have a beautiful presence, as if capturing the ripples of water or air.
Though made of contrasting materials, both embody the unique comfort created by nature and harmonize beautifully.
Please come and find your favorite piece to add a refreshing touch to your summer life.
