Wooden items are very susceptible to water, heat, and fire. Therefore, their surfaces are protected by a film of lacquer, oil, or beeswax.
Dishwashers and microwaves are very harsh on wood, so please never use them.
Leaving items submerged in water for long periods or exposing them to direct sunlight can cause cracking and warping, so please be careful.
When washing, use water or lukewarm water and a sponge.
After washing, immediately remove excess moisture and wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth.
