Japanese Glass Artist | Daigo KikuchiDaigo Kikuchi creates exquisite handcrafted blown glass in Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
In mid-October, during the rice harvest season, we visited his newly completed studio to experience the unique atmosphere where his works are born.
Soft autumn light filters into the space, originally a traditional rice granary, gently highlighting the contours of the glass in the quiet room.
In this serene space, Kikuchi works alone, facing the glass freshly taken from the kiln, and shaping it with a light, unwavering touch.
Amber Glass Cloaked in Soft LightA defining characteristic of Daigo Kikuchi's artisan glassworks is
the pale pink color created by thinly blowing the amber-colored raw material.
When it catches the light, it softly takes on color, possessing a delicate beauty as if draped in a veil of gentle air.
You can enjoy pairing these unique pieces with colorful ingredients, or use them as interior art decor to elevate your living space.
《 A Word from Tsumugu Ameno 》
Mr. Kikuchi's handcrafted glassworks reveal different beautiful facets depending on what you pour into them,
making it hard not to be captivated by their beauty.
I love using this piece to savor Japanese sake, or pouring softly tinted cold brewed tea into it to embrace the seasonal poetic charm.
It would be a delightful pairing to use alongside the Tea cup.

[Care Instructions for Glassware]
Glass vessels, revealing beautiful new facets as they catch the light, have long been a cherished element of daily life in Japan.
With gentle care, these pieces will bring you joy for many years to come.
[Before First Use]
Please wash the item with a soft sponge and mild dish soap before using it for the first time.
[Daily Care]
Please wash using a mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
Be careful when handling thin-walled glass, as applying strong pressure or twisting it while washing may cause it to break.
After washing, gently wipe away any remaining moisture with a soft cloth before storing.
[Storage]
Stacking glassware directly with harder materials, such as pottery or porcelain, may cause scratches.
We recommend avoiding direct stacking, or placing a soft cloth between items when storing them.
