Artist / Akari Sato Material / Clay Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture
A unique presence with a soft, gentle paleness and a simple yet distinctive form.
The smooth, dry texture of the clay, which feels reassuring to the touch, and the delicate, ephemeral painting that seems to come alive, along with the novel expression created by the artist's uniquely blended Raku glaze, evoke a sense of endearment within their rustic charm. The distinctive layers of materials also contribute to the work's sense of depth.
The bowls, with their gentle curves and three-dimensional form, are available in three colors: Yukishiro (snow white), Tanpaku (pale), and Sumi (ink).
Their exotic design immediately caught my eye.
Beyond their functional beauty as tableware, they offer a luxurious feel that elevates the appearance of any dish.
Due to their depth, these bowls are suitable for main dishes across Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines, as well as large fruits, soups, stews, and dishes where you want to mix ingredients like salads.

※The white glaze marks on this piece are intentionally applied and are part of the work's characteristics. These are natural patterns that appear during the final firing process and are not defects or faulty products. Please be aware of this in advance.
※The texture of the glaze is Raku ware, creating a unique texture with transparency. This was perfected through trial and error to express the appearance of frosted windowpanes and snowy landscapes.
※There may be parts that appear to be peeling, scratches, or chips in the engobe, but please enjoy them as part of the work's character.
※As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and they may differ from the photos.
※When serving warm food, we recommend thoroughly soaking the item in warm water, and when serving cold food, in cold water, before use.
