Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a type of ceramics made in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, famous as a tea-producing region and one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts.
"224porcelain" is a brand born from this small production area.

The vessels, born from free ideas without being bound by conventional styles, wonderfully fuse traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.

Kikyo 5-inch Plate

We welcomed this porcelain vessel with a gentle expression, adorned with white porcelain and light lapis lazuli glazes.
It was created by 224porcelain, a kiln in Yoshida-yaki, Saga Prefecture, under the supervision of ceramic artist Shingo Oka.

Its charm lies in its gentle texture reminiscent of ancient pottery, the smooth quality of its glaze, and its functional form designed for ease of use.
The subtle variations in color created by the intentionally left "drips" of glaze allow you to feel the presence of the artisan in each piece.

This 5-inch plate is just the right size for everyday use, naturally drawing you to pick it up as a serving plate.
It is a vessel born from Mr. Oka's direct recipes, gently blending into modern life.

The faintly bluish glaze of Light Lapis Lazuli creates a transparency as if capturing the morning air.
The movement of the glaze creates a serene expression, with an air that somehow evokes the presence of water.
Its cool appearance is perfect for summer cold dishes and fruits.
It adds a touch of pure color.

・Avoid using abrasive cleaners, cleansers containing abrasives, metal scrubbers, etc., as vigorous scrubbing may scratch the surface. Please wash with a soft sponge.
