Yoshida-yaki, Saga Prefecture - 224porcelain
Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a type of porcelain made in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, which is famous for its tea production and as one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts.
The "224porcelain" brand was born from this small production area.
Unbound by traditional styles, the vessels born from free-thinking ideas beautifully blend traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.
Rinka 3-sun plate
These porcelain vessels, adorned with white celadon and pale lapis lazuli glazes, were created by the Yoshida-yaki kiln "224porcelain" under the supervision of ceramic artist Shingo Oka.
The soft texture reminiscent of antique ceramics, the rich expression of the glaze, and the flower petal-shaped rinka form.
The subtle variations in shade created by the intentionally left "glaze drips" imbue each piece with a unique individuality and the lingering presence of the maker.
The small 3-sun size is just right, serving not only as a side dish or small bowl but also proving useful for condiments and sauce dishes.
The pale bluish glaze of the usururi (pale lapis lazuli) gives a translucent feel, as if capturing the morning air.
The movement of the glaze creates a serene expression, with a presence that somehow evokes the sense of water.
Its cool appearance is perfect for summer cold dishes and fruits,
adding a pure touch of color.

【About the Vessels】
Each piece is handmade, valuing the natural texture of the earthenware.
Therefore, the application of glaze and other expressions will vary from piece to piece.
We hope you enjoy the diverse appearances of each vessel.
【Precautions for Use】
・When using for the first time, always wash with water or lukewarm water.
・Sealing the pores will make it harder for colors from food to penetrate.
・After use, clean off any dirt promptly and store after drying thoroughly.
・When stacking, placing a thin sheet of paper between pieces will prevent scratches.
・Abrasives, abrasive cleaners, cleansers, metal scrubbers, etc., should not be used, as strong scrubbing can scratch the surface. Please use a soft sponge for washing.
