"Nokaji Yamago" Iron Frying Pans, Born from 150 Years of Tradition
"Nokaji Yamago" iron frying pans are crafted by Kondo Seisakusho, blacksmiths who uphold tradition in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture.
It is said that when the company was founded, they made various forged products as village blacksmiths for local farmers.
Each product, born from wisdom and techniques cultivated over many years, combines durability and high quality.
As "modern village blacksmiths," they value traditional techniques while carefully crafting each tool to fit modern lifestyles.
This is a product we highly recommend for anyone looking for a frying pan that can be cherished for a long time!
The Secret to Lightness and Ease of Use
The "Nokaji Yamago Frying Pan" is characterized by its lightness, overturning the heavy impression of typical iron frying pans.
When I first picked it up, I was surprised by its lightness. Designed to be easily handled with one hand even by women, it reduces the burden during long cooking sessions, providing a stress-free cooking experience.
This frying pan is carefully crafted to suit modern lifestyles while valuing traditional blacksmithing techniques.
The Charm of Iron Frying Pans, Realized Through Actual Use
Using the "Nokaji Yamago Frying Pan" for myself, I was surprised by its excellent heat conductivity. Heat is instantly distributed throughout, cooking ingredients evenly and bringing out their full flavor. It felt as if my cooking skills had improved by a notch.
The greatest appeal of iron frying pans is their ability to cook quickly while maintaining high temperatures. Additionally, their adequate depth makes them versatile for stir-frying and even small deep-frying tasks. They are also incredibly easy to use, and their lightweight design makes them easy to handle, ensuring smooth cooking. Another great feature is that the depth helps prevent oil splattering during stir-frying and deep-frying, allowing for worry-free cooking.
The more you use an iron frying pan, the more seasoned it becomes with oil, making it less prone to sticking. With continued use, a well-seasoned iron frying pan becomes easy to maintain, requiring little effort, even eliminating the need to oil it after use.
Three Frying Pan Sizes to Suit Your Needs
Available in three sizes: 18cm, 22cm, and 26cm.
I often use the 22cm size. For a household of two, it's not too big and not too small, just perfect for cooking for two. The 18cm is recommended for smaller dishes, and the 26cm for cooking for 3-4 people.

[Care Instructions]
An anti-rust treatment has been applied before use, so seasoning (oil conditioning) after purchase is not necessary. Please rinse lightly with water before using.
After cooking, transfer food to another container as soon as possible. Leaving food in the frying pan for a long time can cause a metallic smell and may peel off the oxidized film on the surface, which can lead to rust.
When cleaning, use a sponge and hot water without detergent. After washing, heat the pan again to completely evaporate any moisture, then apply a thin layer of oil with a paper towel before storing.
