Notes

[ About Nerikomi White Porcelain ]
Due to the production method, no two pieces will have the exact same pattern, and it is impossible to know exactly what the design will look like until it is fired. We hope you will slowly enjoy the unique and beautiful scenery of each piece.
*Please note that some areas may appear to be peeled, scratched, or chipped, but these are part of the charm and character of the piece.
*As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and they may differ from the photos.

Handling Precautions

[ Before First Use ]
For unglazed white porcelain pieces, a quick rinse in water before use can help prevent food stains.

[ Compatibility with Food and Beverages ]
The pieces can be used without concern for typical stir-fries. However, please be careful when using highly colored foods like curry, as they may cause staining. Pouring vessels and teacups are also very compatible with Chinese tea.

[ Daily Care & When Stains Occur ]
If tea stains or other dirt become noticeable, soaking the piece in an oxygen-based bleach solution for about 30 minutes is recommended. Covering larger surfaces with a kitchen paper towel dampened with bleach is also effective. (Oxygen-based bleach tends to clean better than chlorine-based bleach.)

Artisan / Akari Sato Material / White porcelain Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture

The "neriage" technique is born from layering clay. No two pieces are ever the same, as each reveals a unique expression every time it emerges from the kiln. Ceramic artist Akari Sato continues her daily craft, looking forward to these one-of-a-kind encounters.

In this piece, the neriage technique is intentionally finished in white porcelain, creating an even clearer impression. The dignified elegance of its appearance stands out.

The soft, wood-grain-like pattern changes its expression with the light, revealing a new vista every time you glance at it.

Its shape allows for various uses, such as holding dressings and sauces or enjoying Chinese tea. By adding it to your dining table or tea time, you can feel the rich expression of the neriage pattern more intimately.

This is a work infused with Ms. Sato's wish that "people find it beautiful to look at."
