Notes

[ About Hakuji Nerikomi Ware ]
Due to the production method, no two pieces will have the exact same pattern, and it is impossible to know precisely what kind of pattern will emerge until after firing. We hope you will enjoy the unique and beautiful scenery of each piece.
*There may be areas that appear to be chipped, scratched, or欠けて. Please enjoy them as part of the unique character of the piece.
*As these are handmade items, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and they may differ from the photographs.

Handling Precautions

{
"Use and Care Guide": {
"Before First Use": "To prevent food stains on unglazed white porcelain, briefly rinse it with water before use.",
"Compatibility with Food and Beverages": "You can use this porcelain for regular stir-fries without issue. However, please be careful when using highly pigmented foods like curry, as they may cause discoloration. Sake pitchers (katakuchi) and teacups are also excellent for Chinese tea.",
"Daily Care and Stain Removal": "If you notice tea stains or dirt, soak the item in an oxygen-based bleach solution for about 30 minutes. Alternatively, covering larger surfaces with kitchen paper dampened with bleach is also effective. (Oxygen-based bleach is more effective than chlorine-based bleach.)"

Artist / Akari Sato Material / White porcelain Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture

The "neriage" technique involves layering different clays.
Each piece, revealing a unique expression every time it emerges from the kiln, is one of a kind.
Ceramic artist Akari Sato continues her daily work, looking forward to these once-in-a-lifetime encounters.

In this piece, the neriage technique is deliberately executed in white porcelain, giving it a clearer impression.
Its dignified elegance stands out.

The soft, woodgrain-like pattern changes its expression with the light, offering a new view every time you glance at it.

The small size is perfect as a side plate, or for serving sweets and fruits. It naturally becomes a go-to item on the table, accompanying your daily meals.

"I hope you find it beautiful to look at."
This work embodies Akari Sato's wish.
