[ About Nerikomi White Porcelain ]
Due to the production method, no two pieces will have the same pattern, and it is impossible to know exactly what the design will look like until it is fired. We hope you will enjoy slowly contemplating the unique and beautiful patterns.
*Please note that there may be areas that appear to be chips, scratches, or nicks; please enjoy these as part of the piece's character.
*As these items are handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and they may differ from the photos.

Handling Precautions

[ First Use ]
For unglazed white porcelain pieces, a quick rinse with water before use will help prevent food stains.

[ Compatibility with Food and Tea ]
You can use the pieces without concern for typical stir-fries. However, please be careful when using highly pigmented foods like curry, as they may cause discoloration. Our katakuchi bowls and teacups pair very well with Chinese tea.

[ Daily Care / When Stains Occur ]
If you notice tea stains or general discoloration, soaking the piece in an oxygen-based bleach solution for about 30 minutes is effective. For larger surfaces, we recommend covering them with a kitchen paper dampened with bleach. (Oxygen-based bleach works better than chlorine-based bleach.)

Regarding gift wrapping

Gift wrapping is available for 390 yen (tax included) per item.
Please select "Would you like gift wrapping?" below the "Add to Cart" button on each product page.
If you have selected multiple items and would like each to be wrapped individually, please purchase the necessary number of gift wrappings.
If you would like items to be wrapped together, please specify this in the "Notes" section of your cart, and we will accommodate your request.

Delivery Information

Shipping Lead Times

Normally, your selected items will be shipped within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
In some cases, such as during busy periods or when extra care is needed for inspection and packaging, it may take a little longer. However, all orders will be dispatched within a maximum of 7 business days.

Should there be a delay beyond the usual timeframe, we will contact you via email in advance.
We will also send a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your items have been dispatched.

*Please note that each separate order is shipped as a separate package.
Due to our system, we are unable to consolidate multiple orders after they have been placed. We appreciate your understanding.

Please note: Date and time specification is available ONLY for shipping addresses within Japan.

For international orders, your items will be shipped as soon as they are ready, and we are unable to accept specific delivery date or time requests.

For orders placed by 12:00 PM (JST) on business days, the order will be processed on the same day. You may select a delivery date starting from 3 days after your order date.
If you prefer the earliest possible delivery, please leave the date unspecified, and we will ship your items as soon as they are ready.

*During peak seasons in Japan—such as the New Year holidays, Obon (mid-August), or seasonal gift-giving periods (Ochugen in July and Oseibo in December)—date and time specifications may be temporarily unavailable due to high courier volumes.

Pottery artist Akari Sato continues her daily work, looking forward to these unique encounters.

In this piece, the neriage technique is deliberately rendered in white porcelain, giving it an even clearer impression.
The dignified elegance of its appearance stands out.

The soft, woodgrain-like patterns change their expression with the light, revealing a new vista each time you glance at them.

The large size is perfect for generously holding main dishes or seasonal cuisine. Plating with ample negative space is also beautiful, allowing you to enjoy the expression of the vessel along with the food.

Akari Sato
Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1981
After graduating from university, worked as an assistant to a potter.
2013: Graduated from Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center, specializing in Ceramic Science and Art.
Currently working as a potter in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.

Selected for the 52nd Japan Craft Exhibition
2012: Selected for the Itami International Craft Exhibition
Awarded the Jury Prize at the 10th International Ceramics Festival Mino
