Notes

*The white glaze marks on this piece are intentionally applied and are part of the piece's unique characteristics. These are natural patterns that appear during the final firing process and are not defects or faulty products. Please be aware of this in advance.
*The texture of the glaze is Raku-ware style, creating a unique, translucent appearance. This was perfected through repeated trial and error to evoke the look of frosted windowpanes and snowy landscapes.
*Please note that some areas may appear to have flaked slip, scratches, or chips; these are part of the piece's unique character and should be enjoyed as such.
As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and the actual product may differ from the photograph.

Handling Precautions

[ How to use ]
For mugs and cups: Since they are water-repellent, there is no need for pre-treatment; they can be used as is.
When serving hot food, we recommend filling them with hot water, and when serving cold food, filling them with cold water before use.
[ Care ]
You can wash them with a soft sponge and neutral detergent.
Storing them while still damp can lead to mold and odors.
[ When storing ]
When storing them in a cupboard for an extended period, please ensure they are thoroughly dry before putting them away.
[ When stained or odorous ]
Tea stains and other marks may appear with use. While these will gradually blend into the ware, if odors are a concern, soaking them in baking soda water for half a day to a full day and then drying them may remove the smell.

Maker / Akari Sato Material / Clay Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture

This mug is one of Akari Sato's most representative works.

The patterns drawn on the sides are not based on pre-determined designs, but rather created by the movement of her hands, responding to what feels comfortable in the moment.
The freely drawn lines and the smudged expressions reminiscent of sumi-e ink wash paintings overlap, creating a unique expression for each piece.

Although simple in form, it has a surprisingly eye-catching presence.
Each time you pick it up, your eyes are drawn to the scenes depicted.

The raku glaze, specially formulated by Sato, was developed through repeated trial and error, inspired by the sight of windowpanes freezing and snowy landscapes.

For enjoying a slow moment with coffee or tea.
This is a piece whose expression you'll want to gaze at, whether you're using it or not.
