Yamagen Toen, based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, operates under the concept of "updating tradition." They have inherited the spirit of artisans who have responded to the demands of their time, developing and manufacturing Tokoname ware that suits modern lifestyles.
In Tokoname, a wide range of products is made, from daily necessities like teapots and tableware to building materials such as ceramic pipes, tiles, and sanitary ware. Due to their excellent durability, large pots and jars were also produced in the past.

Combining traditional wisdom with meticulous and rich technical skills, they confront materials and continue to create tools for use that enrich modern life and are close to everyday living.

They collaborated with us on the production of the heat-resistant plate "marais," and also provided us with CROCK, "a lidded ceramic jar with glaze for storing miso, pickled plums, and nuka-zuke (fermented rice bran pickles)," and SUYAKI CROCK, "a highly water-absorbent yet robust ceramic container ideal for salt and other moisture-sensitive items."
