Nanpu Kogeisha is a comprehensive bamboo trading company founded in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, in 1979. In Beppu, a region renowned for its bamboo crafts, the company has consistently managed everything from material procurement to manufacturing and sales in-house.
Their system, which extends to managing forests and supplying materials to artisans, is a rare initiative not often seen in other production areas. This integrated system builds trust in their high-quality products and fosters a sense of security, which is why I chose to bring Nanpu Kogeisha's products into my home.
Furthermore, Nanpu Kogeisha's products are not merely bamboo crafts; they also embody "creative bamboo artistry." Currently, while preserving the local craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities, they have relocated their base to Hiji Town, Oita Prefecture, surrounded by lush nature and abundant marine resources, where they continue to produce goods using high-quality bamboo.
