Yamaichi's "Chinese Steamer"
Using Yamaichi's "Chinese Steamer" is simple: just put in the ingredients and set the timer.
There's no oil splatter, so you can cook without making a mess in the kitchen.
Plus, the elegant aroma of hinoki cypress and its charming design make it a star on the dining table, and it's a bonus that there's less washing up.
Steaming brings out the umami of the ingredients, and since the temperature doesn't exceed 100°C, there's no worry of burning.
Moreover, it's healthy because it doesn't use oil and allows you to eat plenty of vegetables, making it perfect for health-conscious individuals.
Outstanding Durability and Quality Materials
While many inexpensive Chinese steamers from Taiwan and China have recently appeared on the market, Yamaichi continues to use domestic hinoki cypress and manufacture them by hand with skilled artisans.
The hinoki cypress used as a material mainly comes from trees over 100 years old.
These are layered four times to create thickness, achieving outstanding durability.
Additionally, the lid features a double layer of woven bamboo, designed to release steam appropriately and prevent water droplets from falling onto the food.
With fine, strong fibers and thick edges, it boasts excellent strength, making it a masterpiece that can be cherished for a long time.
Ease of Use
Yamaichi's Chinese steamers do not have the upper and lower claws found in Chinese-made steamers, making them shorter and easier to retrieve food from at the dining table.
Also, the lid is tall, allowing for fluffy steamed dishes and steaming in dishes, expanding the range of culinary possibilities.
Regarding sizes, the 21cm is recommended for families of 2-3 people, the 24cm and above for families of 3-4 people, and the 27cm is suggested for when you want to steam a large amount at once or prefer extra space for family use. I personally love my 21cm steamer.
Before First Use
Don't forget to prepare it before use.
Pour water or lukewarm water evenly over the entire steamer and wet it thoroughly before use.
Be careful, as placing it on a pot while dry may cause it to burn.
Steamed Vegetables
Slowly cooked "steamed dishes" are a cooking method that excels in taste, nutrition, and ease of use.
They remain delicious even after time, so if stored, you can easily enjoy them by simply adding seasoning for the next use.
Steaming results in higher nutritional value than boiling and is healthier than stir-frying.
Homemade Fluffy Shumai
Steamers are also perfect for cooking meat.
Especially, shumai made in a steamer have a soft, fluffy texture that cannot be achieved in a microwave, and are packed with irresistible meat juices.
They also help to drain excess fat, making them a healthier option.
Harmonize Your Body with the Power of Steam
The simple act of boiling water, adding ingredients, and steaming them provides a small respite for your tired body and mind after returning home.
Sharing the moment when the ingredients peek out as you place the lid is a small luxury unique to using a steamer.
