Measures against chilling, especially when it's hot

I thought the rainy season had just begun, but before I knew it, it seems to have ended.
With this heat continuing day after day, we're spending more time at home.

Heatstroke is concerning, but it's also a problem to chill your body too much from air conditioning.
If you don't take some preventative measures, the cold can quickly lead to fatigue and lethargy.

Warm drinks

Although I try to combat the cold by adjusting the air conditioner temperature or wearing a cardigan, I often reach for cold drinks, which burdens my digestive system and sometimes leads to summer fatigue.

To avoid this, I make an effort to drink warm beverages.
Apparently, warming the body from the inside improves sluggish blood circulation and naturally alleviates coldness.
It's said to reduce swelling and aid in fatigue recovery, so there's no reason not to continue.

My recent favorite, ginger orange tea, has a refreshing orange aroma and a zesty ginger flavor that pair wonderfully, and I enjoy it with breakfast.

Recently, a friend tried this recipe and told me, "It tastes even better with honey."

Hinode Kagaku Seisakusho Glass Pot

The beautiful glass pot I use is made by Hinode Kagaku Seisakusho, which produces laboratory beakers in Sumida Ward, Tokyo.

When I first met Mr. Takizawa from Hinode Kagaku Seisakusho, I was very drawn to his bright and humorous personality.
He frequently contacts me, almost like a distant uncle.

Mr. Takizawa's glass pot is round and cute, and its elegant, curved spout pours smoothly, making it pleasant to use.
Its high functionality, allowing it to be placed directly on a flame, is also one of its charms.

Rapid temperature changes can cause cracks or breaks, so when using it over direct heat, I am careful to pour room-temperature water and place it over low heat.

Refreshing and slightly spicy ginger orange tea

Place a teabag of black tea in boiling water and steep for about 3 minutes.
After removing the teabag, add sliced orange and ginger.

You can slice the ginger, but grating it enhances its aroma and flavor, allowing you to enjoy a warm and spicy taste.

Why not take a moment to relax with a warm drink?
I, too, hope to get through the summer, comforted daily by the pleasant aroma and warmth.

As the hot days continue, please take good care to avoid summer fatigue.
