Keizan Kiln

Keizan Kiln was founded in 1957, inheriting the tradition of Arita Town where Japanese porcelain was born 400 years ago.

As it was founded to pursue the beauty of sometsuke (underglaze blue), it boasts an astonishing variety of designs, from classical patterns to modern motifs.
Each piece is so unique that you'll want to call it a "once-in-a-lifetime encounter," and you'll find yourself wanting to pick up one after another as you browse.

All of Keizan Kiln's works, from forming to painting and firing, are done in-house, with the craftsman's passion poured into every detail.
Perhaps this is why the pieces exude a certain gentleness and suppleness.

Namasu Plate

This namasu plate is highly versatile and a very convenient shape.
It's a shallow medium bowl that can be used for simmered dishes, dressed salads, as a small main dish plate, or as a serving plate.

Also, the slightly curved rim securely holds food, so you don't have to be picky about what you serve.

Snacks I usually make tend to be monochromatic, but this plate makes them look good even without much effort in plating, so it's very useful.

Even dishes made quickly acquire an elegance like those served in a restaurant, and they pair wonderfully with food.
It naturally creates an atmosphere that encourages you to enjoy a drink or two.

Tableware that brings coolness

Keizan Kiln's tableware is characterized by its clear appearance, created by the interplay of sometsuke blue and the white space of white porcelain, which brings a sense of coolness to the eye.
Each time you serve food, the dining table instantly harmonizes and creates a calm atmosphere.

Furthermore, Keizan Kiln's tableware is more about "displaying" than "storing," and the overlapping colors and patterns, along with the balance between the pieces, beautifully organize the shelves.
As my collection of favorite pieces gradually grows, the fact that they are stackable and easy to store is also a great help.
