Artist / Akari Sato Material / Clay Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture
A unique presence with a soft, gentle paleness and a simple yet distinctive form.
The smooth, earthy texture feels reassuring to the touch, and the delicate, ephemeral painting appears to be on the verge of movement. The rustic charm, combined with a novel expression created by a specially blended Raku ware glaze, makes these pieces endearing. The differing layers of material are also a distinctive feature, giving the works a sense of depth.
The mug's beautiful form and exotic design immediately caught my eye.
The handle is large enough to fit all four fingers, providing stability when held, making it a frequently chosen item.
Its height also makes it easy to use as a vase or a single flower holder.

* The white glaze marks on this piece are intentionally applied and are part of the work's characteristics. These are natural patterns that appear during the final firing process and are not defects or faulty products. Please be aware of this in advance.
* The texture of the glaze is that of Raku ware, creating a unique transparent quality. This effect was achieved through repeated trial and error to express the appearance of frosted windowpanes or a snowy landscape.
* There may be instances where the slip appears to be peeling, scratched, or chipped, but please enjoy this as part of the work's unique texture.
* As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and the actual product may differ from the photo.
* When serving hot food, it is recommended to adequately soak the item in hot water, and when serving cold food, in cold water, before use.
