Yoshida-yaki, Saga Prefecture - 224porcelain
Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a type of ceramics made in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, famous as a tea-producing region and one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts.
The brand "224porcelain" was born from this small production area.
Unbound by convention, the vessels born from free-thinking ideas perfectly blend traditional techniques with a modern sensibility.
5-sun Serving Bowl
We've welcomed porcelain vessels with soft expressions, adorned with white porcelain and light lapis lazuli glazes, into our homes.
These pieces are crafted by the Yoshida-yaki kiln "224porcelain" in Saga Prefecture, under the supervision of ceramic artist Shingo Oka.
Their appeal lies in their gentle texture, reminiscent of ancient pottery, the smooth feel of the glaze, and their functional form designed for ease of use.
The gradations created by the intentionally left "glaze drips" imbue each piece with the maker's care.
This is a 5-sun serving bowl.
Born from Mr. Oka's direct recipes, these vessels gently blend into modern life.
The faintly bluish glaze of light lapis lazuli evokes a transparency as if capturing the morning air.
The movement of the glaze creates a serene expression, hinting at the presence of water.
Its cool appearance is perfect for summer cold dishes and fruits.
It adds a touch of pure color.

【About the Vessel】
Each piece is handmade, valuing the natural texture of earthenware.
Therefore, the appearance, including how the glaze is applied, differs for each item.
We hope you enjoy the various "sceneries" of these vessels.
【Usage Precautions】
・For first use, always wash with water or lukewarm water.
・Sealing the pores (medome) will make it harder for food colors to penetrate.
・Promptly wash off dirt after use and store after drying thoroughly.
・When stacking, gently place a thin piece of paper between them to prevent scratches.
・Avoid using abrasive cleaners, cleansers containing abrasives, metal scrubbers, etc., as strong scrubbing may scratch the surface. Please wash with a soft sponge.
