Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a type of ceramic ware made in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, a region famous for its tea and as one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts.
The brand "224porcelain" originated from this small production area.

Breaking free from traditional styles, their vessels are born from free-thinking ideas, beautifully blending traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.

Kikyo 5-inch Plate

We've welcomed porcelain vessels with soft expressions, adorned with white and pale lapis lazuli glazes, into our homes.
These pieces were created by the Yoshida-yaki kiln "224porcelain" in Saga Prefecture, under the supervision of ceramic artist Shingo Oka.

Their charm lies in their gentle, antique-like texture, the rich feel of the glaze, and their functional forms designed for ease of use.
The intentional "drips" of glaze create variations in tone, allowing you to feel the craftsman's touch in each individual piece.

The 5-inch size is perfect for everyday use, naturally serving as a small plate for side dishes.
These vessels, born from recipes directly taught by Mr. Oka, gently blend into modern life.

The soft white glaze subtly透けて, creating a milky white appearance that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
While maintaining a dignified presence in clear light, it also features a gentle expression with a hint of warmth.
It beautifully showcases side dishes, dressed vegetables, and fruits, gracefully complementing daily meals.

・Sealing the vessel will make it more resistant to food stains.
・After use, remove dirt promptly and store after drying thoroughly.
・When stacking, placing a thin piece of paper between them will prevent scratches.
・Avoid using abrasive cleaners, abrasive-containing detergents, cleansers, or metal scourers, as they may scratch the surface. Please wash with a soft sponge.
