Keizan Kiln
Keizan Kiln was founded in 1957, inheriting the tradition of Arita town, where Japanese porcelain was born 400 years ago.
As it was founded to pursue the beauty of sometsuke (underglaze blue), the variety is surprisingly rich, ranging from classical patterns to modern designs.
Each piece is so unique that you'll want to call it "ichigo ichie" (a once-in-a-lifetime encounter), and you'll find yourself wanting to pick up this and that as you look at them.
From forming to painting and firing, all of Keizan Kiln's works are done in-house, and the craftsman's passion is put into every detail of each piece.
Perhaps that is why the vessels have a certain gentleness and suppleness.

7-inch Medium Bowl
Colorful chilled ramen is an excellent match for the 7-inch medium bowl.
With shredded egg, cucumber, ham, and tomatoes, this dish, full of colorful ingredients, is visually appealing and brightens up the dining table.
At first glance, both seem colorful and might clash, but they harmonize surprisingly well.
The spacious white porcelain and the subtle and refined painting are exquisitely balanced, acting like a canvas that enhances the vibrancy of the food.
This vessel creates a free "suggestive space."
There, the food becomes the star, and the vessel beautifully acts as a stage.
Vessels that invite coolness
Keizan Kiln's vessels are characterized by their clear appearance, woven from the blue of sometsuke and the white space of the porcelain, bringing a sense of coolness to the eyes.
Each time you serve food, the dining table's scenery instantly calms and creates a tranquil atmosphere.
Furthermore, Keizan Kiln's vessels are more about "displaying" than "storing," and the overlapping colors and patterns and the balance between the vessels beautifully arrange the shelves.
As my collection of favorite vessels gradually grows, the fact that they are stackable and easy to store is also very helpful.
