Echizen lacquerware is said to have begun 1500 years ago in the Kawada district of Sabae City.
This is a soup bowl from Tsuchinao Shikki, founded in 1962, utilizing the lacquerware manufacturing techniques cultivated in this region.

The natural and rich expressions of lacquer and zelkova wood blend seamlessly with both Japanese and Western dining tables.
Its gently rounded shape and design evoke a warmth that makes you want to cup it in your hands.

"Navy blue," which changes from a dark color to blue over time, harmonizes with other tableware with its subdued hue, enhancing each other's beauty.
While it may feel a bit fresh, it surprisingly creates a unified space.
The familiar color and soft curves blend into modern dining tables, making it suitable for any occasion.
The soup bowl is compact and deep, so we also use it as a small serving bowl for individual side dishes.

Inheriting Tradition and Challenging New Craftsmanship

Tsuchinao Shikki is said to handle all processes except for the base material creation in-house.

The workshop employs first-class artisans and traditional craftspeople, with specialized artisans taking on their respective roles and proceeding with work through detailed communication.
