Keizan Kiln

Keizan Kiln was founded in 1957, inheriting the tradition of Arita Town, where Japanese porcelain was born 400 years ago.

As it was founded to pursue the beauty of sometsuke (blue and white porcelain), it offers an astonishing variety, ranging from classical patterns to modern designs.
Each piece is so unique that you'll want to call it a "once-in-a-lifetime encounter," making it hard to choose just one; you'll find yourself wanting to pick up this and that.

All of Keizan Kiln's works, from shaping to painting and firing, are done in-house, with the craftsman's passion poured into every detail.
This may be why the ceramics exude a certain gentleness and grace.

Namasu Plate

This namasu plate is highly versatile and a very convenient shape.
It's a shallow medium bowl that can be used for simmered dishes, dressed salads, small main dishes, or as an individual serving plate.

In addition, the slightly curved rim securely holds the food, making it suitable for any dish.

My usual snacks tend to be monochromatic, but this plate makes them look good even without much effort in presentation, so I find it very useful.

Even quickly prepared dishes have an elegance as if served in a restaurant, and they pair perfectly with food.
It naturally creates an atmosphere where you'll want to keep drinking sake.

Tableware that invites coolness

Keizan Kiln's ceramics are characterized by their clear appearance, created by the indigo blue of sometsuke and the white space of the porcelain, which offers a visually refreshing sensation.
Each time you serve food, the dining table is elegantly arranged, bringing a calm atmosphere.

Furthermore, Keizan Kiln's ceramics feel more like "decorating" than "storing," with the overlapping colors and patterns, and the balance between the pieces, beautifully organizing the shelves.
As my collection of favorite ceramics gradually grows, the fact that they are stackable and easy to store is also a great help.
