Creator / Akari Sato Material / Clay Region / Toki City, Gifu Prefecture
A unique presence with a delicate, gentle softness and simple yet impactful form.
The smooth, earthy texture feels reassuring to the touch, while the delicate and ephemeral brushwork seems almost to come alive. Amidst its rustic charm, the novel expression created by a uniquely blended Raku glaze evokes endearment. The varying layers of material are also distinctive, giving the work a sense of depth.
This cup, with its exotic design, is truly eye-catching.
It can be used for various purposes, such as holding drinks like soup or coffee, serving yogurt as a small bowl for breakfast, or even as a storage container like a pen holder.

※The white glaze marks on this piece are intentionally applied and are part of the work's characteristics. These are natural patterns that appear during the final firing process and are not defects or faulty products. Please be aware of this in advance.
※The texture of the glaze is Raku ware, creating a unique translucent quality. This was achieved through repeated trial and error to express the appearance of frosted window panes or a snowy landscape.
※There may be areas that appear to have peeled cosmetic clay, scratches, or chips, but please enjoy these as part of the work's character.
※Due to the handmade nature of these items, there may be individual differences in size, shape, and color, and they may differ from the photos.
※When serving hot food, we recommend soaking the vessel thoroughly with hot water. When serving cold food, we recommend soaking it thoroughly with cold water before use.
