Wooden items are very susceptible to water, heat, and fire. Therefore, their surfaces are protected with a film of lacquer, oil, or beeswax.
Dishwashers and microwaves are very harsh on wood, so please never use them.
Soaking in water for long periods or exposing them to direct sunlight can cause cracking or warping, so please be careful.
When washing, use water or lukewarm water and a sponge.
After washing, immediately remove excess water and wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth.
